So happy we received a functional sorting hat. This is really cute. My 10 year old loved it. The mouth moves as it should, the hat fits when she wears it to be sorted. Recordings are clear. Highly recommend.

Lots of fun, works just like the one in the movie. Kids loved it. Wish it had more phrases, and it's a bit heavy, and hard to balance, but the kids don't mind. They really enjoy it.

This was bought for my daughter's Harry Potter birthday party. She wanted to start the party with a sorting ceremony. The hat is adorable and functioned wonderfully! It randomly selects the houses it chooses. Our only complaint is that the interior band is uncomfortable and hard to get the right fit.  It would not be suitable for wearing for a long time but for our purposes it worked perfectly!

I was under the impression that the mouth opens and closes as it speaks if so then mine is defeative, it sounds like its trying to work but nothing happens and its very low. Doesnt sit on the head properly and when put on the on mode it still goes through all the houses as it does when on demo. Not happy about spending money on a defeative toy.
